According to BNamericas, citing state news service Telam, investment for new broadband projects in Argentina could reach USD300 million. Regulator SeCom has recently launched a tender to award spectrum above 3GHz that would be used to provide broadband services. Companies such as Telefonica, Telecom, Datacoop, Ertach and Velocom already have spectrum within that range, but the watchdog is keen to ensure all parts of the country have broadband access.
