Government directs state bodies to use only Entel

The Bolivian government has asked government agencies to only contract telecommunications services from recently renationalised incumbent Entel, BNamericas is reporting citing local press. Currently the Bolivian hydrocarbons watchdog uses services provided by Millicom subsidiary Tigo, but has announced it will switch to Entel once its contract with the cellco runs out on 30 November; the report notes that other government bodies have also been directed to sign up with Entel once contracts with alternative providers expire.
