Residential broadband connections up 47.7% y-on-y

The number of residential broadband connections in Argentina reached 2.55 million at the end of June, up 47.7% year-on-year, according to BNamericas quoting government statistics bureau Indec. A director at a local consultancy firm said that high growth rates were being achieved beyond the capital Buenos Aires as operators have focused their investments on Cordoba, Rosario, Mendoza, Mar del Plata and Salta. Within the corporate segment, the number of broadband connections rose 19.7% to 222,478.
