Bouygues announces MVNO deal with KPN

11 Sep 2008

Bouygues Telecom has revealed that it has agreed a deal to sell mobile network capacity to KPN of the Netherlands. Dow Jones, citing a report in Les Echos, claims that KPN may seek to duplicate its low-cost Simyo brand, which it offers via subsidiaries in countries including the Netherlands, Germany and Spain. In July the Conseil de la Concurrence, France’s antitrust body, criticised the level of competition in the wireless market and called for better conditions for MVNOs.
