KDG swings into profit on back of revenue rise

Kabel Deutschland (KDG) has revealed that sales for its first quarter ending 30 June 2008 were up 13.6% year-on-year to EUR329.2 million (USD483.3 million), reports Telecompaper. EBITDA grew 24.7% to EUR134.1 million, while net income came in EUR1.7 million, reversing a loss of EUR4.3 million one year ago. At the end of the period KDG claimed 11.07 million subscribers, of which 482,000 were broadband customers. Monthly ARPU for the quarter reached EUR10.7, up from EUR9.2 previously.
