Radio is the video star

27 Aug 2008

Czech fixed line and broadband operator Radiokomunikace has increased the maximum download speed of its residential ADSL ‘Premium’ packages to 20Mbps, it announced in a press release. The increased network performance gives better support to bandwidth-intensive multimedia applications such as high-resolution video, and Radiokomunikace claims that it now offers the fastest consumer ADSL service in the Czech market, ahead of rivals which ‘recently announced an increase to 16Mbps.’ According to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms database, Radiokomunikace is one of the largest telecoms providers in the Czech Republic, owning and operating its own backbone optical network, wireless network for data and other transmission services, and an extensive network of TV and radio broadcast transmitters.
