The Russian wireline operator Comstar UTS has received access codes to allow it to begin offering domestic and international long-distance fixed line services. ‘We will be able to provide local, inter-zonal, inter-city and international telephony services, as well as broadband internet access, IPTV services and other data transmission related solutions,’ said president and chief executive Sergey Pridantsev in a company statement. ‘This integrated offering is a key competitive advantage for Comstar,’ he affirmed. The operator claims more than 3.6 million wireline customers in Moscow and the Russian regions.
