Alcatel-Lucent and partner KUB Telekomunikasi (KUBTel) have landed a EUR6.5 million (USD9.56 million) contract from Telekom Malaysia™ to provide an IP-based fixed broadband solution, Malaysian news source Bernama is reporting. It is understood that TM hopes the solution will allow it offer triple-play services, as well as extending its nationwide coverage. KUBTel will install the system and provide technical support.
