Netia reports 2Q results

Polish telco Netia has reported that in the three months ended 30 June 2008 revenues rose by 6% to PLN243.5 million (USD110.9 million) compared to the previous quarter. EBITDA for the second quarter was PLN35.4 million, up 5%. Broadband customers increased to 292,470 at the end of June, of which 132,298 were connected to Netia’s own DSL or fast Ethernet network, 8,444 to WiMAX, 150,641 via bitstream access and 987 by ‘other’. Broadband monthly ARPU was PLN66 in 2Q, compared to PLN105 in the same period of 2007, reflecting the growing proportion of residential customers in the customer mix.
