Romania’s dominant wireline operator, RomTelecom, says it is cutting long-distance tariffs by more than 40%, while charges for calls to other networks in Romania will drop by 17%, according to a report from local newspaper Business Standard Daily. ‘The new tariffs will encourage people to talk more with no extra costs,’ said Joerg Zeddies, RomTelecom’s Executive Commercial Manager for the residential segment.
