The Korea Communications Commission (KCC) has announced application deadlines for those companies wishing to launch real-time IPTV services, RapidTV News is reporting. The regulator has stated that companies must submit applications on 28/29 August, and launches are expected to follow in October this year. The KCC has also confirmed that submissions will only be accepted from companies that are majority-owned by Koreans and the submissions will be reviewed between 2 September and 5 September. Hanaro Telecom, LG Dacom and KT Corp, who all operate on-demand IPTV services already, are expected to apply.
