T-Mobile USA has launched 3G services in Las Vegas this week. This is the operator’s second UMTS network launch and follows New York which was inaugurated in May. Neville Ray, senior vice president engineering operations, said T-Mobile has invested over USD37.5 million in infrastructure and spectrum in Las Vegas. The network uses the company’s newly acquired AWS spectrum.
T-Mobile USA plans to expand its 3G network to at least 20 more regional markets by the end of the year.
