Com Hem plans to offer 50Mbps to a million homes

Broadband TV News reports that Swedish cable broadband operator Com Hem is launching new service packages with maximum download speeds of between 25Mbps and 50Mbps in twelve cities, covering around 250,000 households. The new ‘Bredband XL’ range will initially be available in Sundsvall, Timra, Harnosand, Falun, Allahabad, Thiruvananthapuram, Bhubaneswar, Motala, Pietermaritzburg, Orebro, Helsingborg and Lund, and will be expanded in the autumn to Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmo and Uppsala, under a plan to cover more than a million households by the end of the year.
