The US cable operator Insight Communications has reported a 16% year-on-year rise in revenues for the three months to the end of June on the back of record net subscriber adds at its high speed internet division. Second-quarter sales stood USD214.8 million, while EBITDA rose 15% to USD71 million. The firm had a total of 742,400 customer relationships at the end of June, up 42,600 from twelve months earlier. The broadband internet customer base was up by 12,400 in the second quarter to 424,600, while 18,700 net new telephony subscribers were added to reach 230,300. Insight Communications is currently the tenth largest cable operator in the United States with networks in Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio.
