According to online news source IPTV News, the Korea Communications Commission (KCC) has announced it will partner with three Korean telcos on an IPTV pilot project. It is understood that KT Corp, Hanaro Telecom and LG Dacom will work together towards the delivery of a public IPTV service, with the report suggesting that a test rollout to up to 600 households may take place by December 2008. The three telcos are also reported to have been granted KRW3 billion (USD2.93 million) of public funds to implement the project.
