Atlantic Tele-Network (ATN), the parent company of Guyana Telephone and Telegraph (GT&T) and Bermuda Digital Communications (BDC), has reported second quarter results for the three months ended 30 June 2008. Revenues rose by 12% compared to the same period of 2007 to USD50.4 million, while net income climbed 13% to USD10.2 million. According to ATN, GT&T has a declining wireless customer base: in the twelve months to June 2008 it lost 28,000 customers to finish the period with 277,000 subscribers. Conversely it added 9,000 fixed lines to finish June with 135,000 main lines in service.
