Inter touts national triple-play

4 Aug 2008

Venezuelan cableco Inter, the country’s second biggest broadband ISP by users, has launched a nationwide promotion of its triple-play pay-TV, internet and local telephony services, under the banner Triple Hogar (Triple Home). Packages include the option of 95 ‘Intercable’ cable TV channels, unlimited monthly usage of a 1Mbps (download, upgradeable to 4Mbps where available) ‘Interlink’ cable broadband connection and an ‘Intertel’ local telephony plan including 200 inclusive on-net minutes and 60 minutes to other local operators. Eduardo Stigol, president of Inter, said that the expansion of Triple Home from its previous coverage of a few selected cities was made possible by significant investment over the last couple of years, and he now considered Inter to be the best option for all-round entertainment in the country. Inter had over 80,000 cable broadband internet subscribers and around 20,000 local telephony users at the start of this year, figures which it aims to increase sharply through its nationwide triple-play promotion.
