The Russian cellular operator SMARTS Group says talks on the sale of a 97% stake in the company have now been narrowed down to three potential investors. These are the country’s so-called ‘Big Three’ cellular operators, MTS, Vimpelcom and MegaFon, according to a report from RBC Daily. SMARTS is reportedly in the final stages of talks with one of these companies. The deal has been estimated to be worth up to USD1.5 billion.
