Kabel Deutschland revenues up on improving customer mix

30 Jul 2008

Kabel Deutschland has posted revenues of EUR1.2 billion (USD1.9 billion) for the twelve months ending 31 March 2008, up almost 10% year-on-year, while EBITDA grew by 19.7% to reach EUR458 million. The results were boosted by a growing proportion of ‘premium customers’, that is users of either digital TV, internet or telephony. The company claimed 393,500 broadband internet subscribers and 361,000 cable telephony users. Digital TV is now in 1.7 million homes and 778,500 are taking a digital TV pay package. Reflecting the growth in higher paying users, monthly blended ARPU for the year climbed to EUR10 from EUR8.6.
