STC cuts call charges as more competition looms

Saudi Telecom Company (STC) says it is cutting the cost of international mobile calls by up to 69% as it gears up for the launch of a new competitor next month. STC will reduce tariffs for calls to 30 markets, including Indonesia, Kuwait, South Africa and Turkey. STC and the country’s other cellco Mobily will be joined by a third operator, Zain, in August.
