Azerbaijan Business Center reports that the country’s three wireless operators, Azercell, Bakcell and Azerfon (Nar Mobile), are yet to receive proposals from the Ministry of Communications & Information Technologies (MCIT) for the use of frequencies for 3G services. It had been claimed earlier this month that the MCIT had submitted a 3G frequency use proposal to all three cellcos, and that the operators should coordinate use of the allotted spectrum amongst themselves. ‘At present we are ready to render 3G services and wait a relevant licence from the Ministry,’ stated a spokesperson for Azercell.
