COLT Telecom reports 2Q results

Pan-European business telecoms service provider COLT Telecom has reported a 1.5% increase in revenue in the three months ended 30 June 2008 to EUR416.3 million (USD830.7 million), compared to the same period of 2007. EBITDA increased by EUR8.6 million to EUR76.5 million while profit before tax rose by EUR24.6 million to EUR33.5 million. Commenting on the results, CEO Rakesh Bhasin said: ‘At constant currency, data revenues grew by 12.7%, driven mainly by the strength of our Ethernet and data centre offerings. We have continued to invest in order to build on this positive trend, nevertheless margins and EBITDA both improved.’
