Spanish telecoms company Jazz Telecom (Jazztel) has released its results for the period ending 30 June 2008, reporting 6% growth in revenues for the quarter year-on-year. Revenues grew to EUR77.8 million (USD123.6 million), but the company still made a loss of EUR24.7 million. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) fell 28% to EUR300,000. The company has announced it is aiming to claim a 5.5% share of Spain’s broadband market by 2010 and according to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms database, the telco is currently fifth-placed in the market, behind Orange Espana and Telefonica de Espana. Jazztel has also recently expanded its services, launching an MVNO mobile service in June 2008, piggybacking on Orange’s network.
