Nawras upgrades mobile network to 7.2Mbps

Nawras Telecom has announced that it has upgraded its wireless network to support theoretical downlink speeds of 7.2Mbps. The new service, which costs OMR99 (USD257.2) for 30GB of free data usage, is designed to serve the needs of business customers and heavy internet users. The company’s 3.5G HSDPA network covers the main areas of the key cities of Muscat, Nizwa, Sur, Salalah and Sohar with the network being quickly expanded to cover the rest of the country.
