22 Jul 2008

Indotel, the Dominican telecoms regulator, is preparing to finalise telecoms licences for 30 operators, BNamericas is reporting. The regulator has confirmed it is to complete the process, as required by General Telecommunications Law No. 153-98 passed in 1998, by providing fixed and mobile operators with official certification of their concessions. As part of the process the regulator has requested all operators provide documentary evidence to support their claim for a licence, including detailed descriptions of their networks and tax and financial information.
