Telus has issued a guarantee that it will not charge customers for receiving spam text messages, following criticism of Telus and Bell Mobility’s plans to charge users for incoming mobile-to-mobile SMS unless they subscribe to a texting package. Telus clients can forward any unsolicited marketing to the network operator with the word SPAM in the body of the message and their account will be adjusted automatically, apparently ‘with no questions asked’ .
