Telecom breach unintentional says regulator

New Zealand’s Commerce Commission (ComCom) says that the country’s dominant phone company, Telecom New Zealand, has breached the terms of its separation agreement, though further action is unlikely to be taken since the regulator believes the breach was unintentional. ComCom said in statement on Friday that Telecom had failed to provide it with details of how it classifies customer service addresses. The former monopoly telco was split into separate divisions earlier this year to cover its wholesale, retail and network operations.
