The Saudi Arabian cellular operator Mobily is to pay SAR80 million (USD21.3 million) to acquire a 96% stake in local internet provider Zajil International Telecommunications Company. ‘Zajil is active in the corporate field,’ said Mobily’s chief executive Khalid Al Kaf. ‘This deal will help us penetrate the business sector regionally and locally, by catering for the needs of medium and large enterprises.’ Last year Mobily bought another Saudi ISP, Bayanat al-Oula, for USD400 million.
