2 Jul 2008

T-Mobile UK has deployed an HSUPA upgrade across its entire 3.5G mobile network, allowing faster upload speeds of up to 1.4Mbps, becoming the first operator in the UK to implement the technology on a national basis. The operator has also announced an upgrade to its HSDPA platform, raising the theoretical download maximum to 7.2Mbps. TeleGeography’s GlobalComms database notes that the UK’s leading cellco by subscribers, Vodafone, launched HSUPA in December 2007 in London and major airports.
