Claro extends 3G coverage

A statement from the Brazilian mobile operator Claro states that it has extended its 3G coverage area to include the state of Rio Grande de Norte, and expanded 3G operations in the Rio Grande do Sul state, making Claro’s 3G network available in over 50 municipalities with coverage of approximately 38 million people. Coverage includes the state capital Natal, and the municipalities of Parnamirim and Macaiba. Claro is offering two handset options, the Nokia 6120 and the Sony Ericsson Z750, each available via two post-paid plan options, with prices starting at BRL99 (USD61.99).
