Tele2 sells Polish unit

30 Jun 2008

Polish telecoms group Netia has acquired Tele2 Poland for USD50 million on a debt and cash free basis. Completion of the deal is subject to clearance from regulatory authorities. At the end of March 2008 Tele2 Poland had approximately 15,000 broadband customers and 716,000 fixed-line telephony customers. Last week, Tele2 sold its Luxembourg and Liechtenstein businesses to Belgium’s Belgacom and is rumoured to be currently negotiating the disposal of its German unit.
