FRiENDi mobile Oman has been awarded the country’s third mobile licence, according to a statement released by the company. The cellco, which will operate as an MVNO, plans to launch later this year. ‘This is an exciting time for the residents of Oman. The government’s wise decisions towards further liberalising the telecom market and opening up for more providers will mean that the consumers will see a variety of new services and better prices,’ said the chairman Mohamed bin Yousuf bin Alawi.
