The National Communications Authority of Hungary (NCAH) has published draft recommendations concerning the new reference interconnect offers that it intends to implement – retrospectively from 1 May – Telecompaper reports. The regulator’s final resolutions are expected to be published by the end of August 2008. It is understood the NCAH is looking for an average 26% decrease in Magyar Telekom’s (MT’s) tariffs compared to previous levels. The watchdog’s published peak rates are: HUF1.38 (USD0.008) per minute (local origination fee); HUF1.84 per minute (regional origination fee); HUF1.97 per minute (national origination fee). The proposed off peak interconnection rates are: HUF0.81 per minute (local origination fee); HUF1.08 per minute (regional origination fee); and HUF1.16 per minute (national origination fee). The NCAH’s new LLU monthly fee is HUF1,922, while partial LLU and bitstream access will be HUF664 and HUF1,591 per month respectively.
