Telrad inks deal with UTG

Telrad Networks has announced the signing of a deal with United Telecom of Georgia (UTG) to deploy a new nationwide aggregation and Ten Gigabit Ethernet (10GE) backbone network based on Cisco’s IP/MPLS metro and core products over DWDM infrastructure. On completion UTG will be able to provide voice, data, IPTV, triple-play and VPN business services to several hundred thousand subscribers. Rollout will begin in the third quarter of 2008 and be completed by January 2009.
