NOMOTECH, a leading alternative telecoms network provider in France, has selected WiMAX and broadband wireless infrastructure developer Redline Communications Group to supply it equipment to support its USD5 million broadband wireless network expansion. Under the deal, NOMOTECH will roll out Redline’s RedMAX products to establish a WiMAX network that will cover more than 1,000 regions and municipalities in Brittany and Pyrenees. Once completed the new system will deliver broadband wireless services to residential and business users throughout the region. Ultimately, NOMOTECH plans to expand its network reach and capacity to cater for several millions of users. Its West Telecom & Idyle Telecom operating units will manage subscriptions and the actual delivery of end-user services, it said. The alternative broadband network provider launched phase one of its WiMAX network in May this year in the North Brittany and Pyrenees regions, and will expand to cover Brittany in 2009 and 2010.
