Time Warner Cable faces suit

9 Jun 2008

The Los Angeles city attorney’s office has filed a lawsuit against Time Warner Cable for alleged service problems. The suit relates to a period two years ago when the city claims that the cable operator ‘failed to live up to its part of the franchise cable agreement requiring that a company answer subscribers’ calls within 30 seconds and begin repairs of service interruptions within 24 hours of notification in 90% of its calls for service.’ The city alleges that less than 60% of calls were answered in time and that the network outages left customers with little or no service at all.
