Etisalat offers 1Gbps leased lines

UAE incumbent telco Etisalat has announced the launch of a 1Gbps leased line service, which it claims is the fastest available in the Middle East. The upgraded leased line service is aimed at allowing businesses to manage growing demands from applications and services. Etisalat’s leased lines are available at speeds ranging from 200Mbps to 1Gbps. Previously the fastest service offered by Etisalat was 155Mbps. Company officer Abdulla Hashim said, ‘For our enterprise customers, high bandwidth usage today has become the norm. We have responded to those needs…the launch of a 1Gbps internet leased line…reinforces Etisalat’s position as the leading telecoms innovator in the region.’ Pricing and service package details have not been publicised yet.
