French incumbent fixed line operator France Telecom (FT) intends to spend USD316 million this year to increase its TV content for Orange users, and other TV and internet customers. Last month the former monopoly said customers would be able to pick from six film and TV channels it planned to launch, and would also be able to access programming on demand. In an interview with BFM radio, FT’s Chief Financial Officer Gervais Pellissier added that the firm would continue its debt reduction programme in 2008.
