Colombia to introduce number portability by 2012

Colombia’s lower house has approved a bill to implement number portability (NP) by 2012, states BNamericas citing local press reports. The original motion stipulated the adoption of both fixed and mobile NP but modifications to the bill mean that fixed NP may not now be introduced, pending a study by local telecoms watchdog the CRT.
