NeuvaTel launches WiMAX network

Bolivian cellco NuevaTel, which operates under the Viva brand, has launched a WiMAX network in four cities, writes BNamericas. Using equipment supplied by Alcatel-Lucent, the network is offered under the V-Net banner to residential and business customers living in La Paz, Cochabamba, Santa Cruz and El Alto. Prices start at around BOB190 (USD26) a month. NuevaTel is majority owned by US-based holding company Trilogy International.
