TeliaSonera signs USD116m housing fibre deal

TeliaSonera has signed a deal with private housing owner Akelius Fastigheter to roll out fibre-to-the-building (FTTB) broadband connections to deliver triple-play services to around 27,000 apartments in 37 municipalities in Sweden. The nine-year agreement is worth around SEK700 million (USD116 million), with installation to begin in the autumn and be completed within two years.
