Vodafone, T-Mobile and O2 all plan to launch a mobile handset next week capable of receiving digital terrestrial television based on the DVB-T standard. The LG-made handset has a two-inch wide TFT display and is HSDPA compatible. Vodafone and T-Mobile say they will sell the handset at EUR99.90 and EUR29.95 respectively with a two-year contract. In addition T-Mobile is offering free access to its 3G mobile TV service for the first three months. Vodafone will also offer a second DVB-T handset manufactured by Gigabyte for EUR289.90, also with a two-year contract. O2 has yet to reveal specific details.
