StarHub teams up with M1 and Hong Kong’s City Telecom for NGN bid

Singaporean telecoms rivals StarHub and MobileOne Asia (M1) have joined forces with Hong Kong’s City Telecom (CTI) to submit a bid for rights to build Singapore’s upcoming high speed broadband network. The triumvirate have established a new consortium, Infinity Consortium, to submit a bid on 5 May. The city state’s Next Generation National Broadband Network is expected to go live in 2015 providing internet access speeds at least ten times faster than those currently available.
