Jazztel: Q1 net loss improves by 15%

Spanish telco Jazztel has trimmed losses by 15% in the first quarter of 2008 to EUR24.2 million (USD38.6 million), an improvement on the EUR28.6 million loss for the same period of 2007. EBITDA for the three months ended 31 March 2008 was EUR300,000, compared to a loss of EUR6 million. In terms of ADSL customers, Jazztel reported the addition of 22,511 customers during the quarter to take its base to 277,197. At the end of the period the company had a presence in 531 unbundled local loop exchanges.
