The Russian broadband operator Comstar UTS says it is aiming to have signed up a million high speed internet customers in Moscow by the end of this year. Comstar, which offers services under the Stream and MGTS brands, also expects to double its regional broadband subscriber base in 2008. The firm had 652,000 broadband customers in the Moscow region at the end of 2007, plus 102,200 elsewhere in Russia. Comstar is expecting to have cornered 50% of Moscow’s market for broadband internet services by 2011, CNews reports.
