Rogers expands HSDPA network in Atlantic provinces, upgrades speeds

Canada’s largest cellco by subscribers Rogers has expanded coverage of its 3.5G HSDPA mobile network to Moncton and Halifax in the Atlantic provinces. In addition, Rogers announced that, following a successful trial in late 2007, Moncton and Halifax became the first cities in the Americas to receive commercial 7.2 Mbps (peak download) mobile internet/data services. Rogers’ Vision suite of 3.5G multimedia services includes video calling, high speed internet access, video-on-demand, over 25 channels of mobile television and video content, live radio and radio-on-demand, business ‘mobile office’ internet/data services and Rogers MusicStore with more than 1.8 million downloadable music tracks.
