Carrefour launches MVNO

9 Apr 2008

French supermarket chain Carrefour will launch an MVNO operation in Poland tomorrow over the Polkomtel network, under the Carrefour Mova banner. ‘Poland will be the fifth country in Europe after France, Belgium, Spain and Italy, in which we are starting our own mobile telephone service. In the course of a year it should be possible to win around 100,000 clients to our service,’ said Gilles Roudy, Carrefour Polska’s new chairman. To entice new users to the service, Carrefour Mova will offer the supermarket’s shoppers free call minutes as well as low call tariffs to all networks.
