Telenor has announced that its mobile arm has forged a roaming agreement with Network Norway, the country’s newest wireless network operator, which will be worth up to NOK700 million (USD135 million) in the first twelve months. Telenor said under the agreement Network Norway will lease capacity on its 2G, 3G and 3.5G networks outside the areas where it has rolled out its own infrastructure. Network Norway currently has between 400,000 and 450,000 mobile customers in Norway. The agreement will have full effect from autumn 2008. ‘We are extremely pleased Network Norway has chosen to sign an agreement with Telenor. Our mobile network offers high quality and good coverage, and we are convinced the company and its customers will be satisfied,’ said Ragnar Karhus, head of Telenor Norway.
