Safaricom to offer 3G services

Following the successful completion of tests in Nairobi, Safaricom CEO Michael Joseph said the cellco plans to launch a 3G service by the end of April. The HSPDA-enabled network will allow the company to target corporate customers with high speed mobile internet and voice services. A decision was made to postpone the launch from 1 April because of the company’s ongoing IPO.
