KPN to buy German MVNO Blau

Thomson Financial reports that Dutch telco KPN has agreed to acquire German MVNO Blau Mobilfunk. Although no details of the deal were disclosed, a report in Financial Times Deutschland put the price at between EUR80 million (USD125.5 million) and EUR100 million, without citing sources. The transaction will be subject to approval from the German Federal Cartel Office (FCO). Blau Mobilfunk is a wholesale partner of KPN’s German subsidiary E-Plus, focusing on the discount and ethnic market segments.
